  1. If you are installing Pro Tools 7.4.2 for Mac OS X 10.5.3, you should use the Digidesign CoreAudio included with your Pro Tools installation, not the standalone version.

The core audio driver should've installed with PTLE 7.4. It should be an easy process to install the drivers then the Mbox will show as an available audio device in the AMS audio midi setup. I had the same problem; it was old Digidesign drivers that caused it.
