If you don't plan on using the Mbox for anything but Pro Tools, you're fine, since not installing the Core Audio driver avoids the problem, but you're really rolling the dice I recommend using an interface by a company that has a history of solid Core Audio drivers such as Apogee, MOTU, RME or Metric Halo.
