Digidesign Mbox Linux Driver
Again, playback channel 2 works great but when playback channel 1 is activated I get hiss and crackle in both ears. Even more: Is there any mail-list, forum, or whatever where I could find help or info on this issues? Would bigger space war ships be actually better or not? Just not getting recognised by Audacity and crashing alsa-mixer now (as it was in the new kernel 3.9). Get the driver code here on github.

Get an optical SPDIF cable and run it out of your computer soundcard into your Digi. Set synchronous mode in jack which results in no playback.Im gonna have one more try by going back to the first kernel that was installed but i doubt that will help.edit:After When I choose SPDIF, I can hear the SPDIF input through my monitors. I ended up installing Wheezy instead of downgrading my kernel (I normally run Arch).

The trouble I'm having in 3.19 is to synch the 3.19 kernel when running the ./configure command. I have figured out the commands but I am no longer actively developing this driver further. I hope this helps.

Alternatively, if you want to run a newish 3.14 kernel grab this tarball instead. I think they may have made a mistake with this and it is causing issues with static. As far as I know pulseaudio is not installed. Try Debian or AVLinux.

For instance, alsamixer sees it but reports ‘this device has no controls', pulseaudio sees it but the slider does nothing, Audacity sees it, but none can actually access it.
